Come join Mad City MINI on a scenic and twisty mix to wrap up the driving weather portion of 2009.

This will be a roughly 5-hour drive, with breaks for a light lunch (bring snacks or picnic lunch) and dinner (at the Log Cabin in Baraboo).

We will be leaving at 11am from the Middleton Park and Ride near US 12 and Parmenter St (4001 Parmenter St, Middleton, WI,for your GPS).

There will be a Milwaukee-based group leaving from Burger King in Delafield (at the SE intersection of I-94 and Hwy 83 - the address is 2725 Heritage Dr, Delafield, WI, for your GPS) at around 9:00am and meeting us at the Middleton jump-off point. You will have time to fill-up on the way out if you need it. John will be leading this group over.

In addition to yourself and your lovely MINI, please pack a light lunch or snacks. Dinner will be between 5 and 6 pm and there will be some brief stops along the way, but no planned lunch stop - so either have a big breakfast or pack some food.

What to bring:

Come join Mad City MINI for a tour of Wisconsin’s Kettle Moraine state parks, and some scenic and fun roads.

September 5th we’ll be leaving Madison (East Town Park & Ride, at 5601 East Park Blvd. Madison, WI) at 11am.  From there we’ll head to meet our friends from other area clubs at the Park & Ride (384 N Watertown, Johnson Creek, WI) in Johnson Creek.  At noon we’ll head out for the drive, arriving in Elkhart Lake, WI between 4 and 5 pm for dinner at Three Guys and a Grill.

Please RSVP so we know how about many maps to have on hand for distribution to the drivers, and bring your GMRS radio set to Channel 15 Subcode 0.  Please arrive with a full tank of gas.  If you will need to eat between 11 and 4, please pack snacks or a lunch!

I will be leading my first drive and it will be a longer than usual one. I have planned a route to Prairie Du Chien and back with a picnic stop at Lawler park in Prairie Du Chien on Sunday September 14th. We will leave from Rex’s Inkeeper at 301 N Century Ave in Waunakee. The trip will leave promptly at 11:00.  We will follow the scenic Wisconsin river most of the way.  Please bring a picnic lunch to have at the park.  I have invited the Eastern Iowa MINI group also.  Please consider joining the drive and Reply to this post. It’s time for a nice summer “cruise” in southern Wisconsin:
Saturday, July 19 starting at 3pm at the Shopko off of Aberg Ave.

The route will take us about 1-1/2 hours north and east through the local farm lands with a stopover
in Portage. Then another hour or so along the river and through the hills takes us to Prairie du Sac for
dinner at the original Blue Spoon Cafe.

If you only want to take the route until Portage, you can jump on I-39 or I-90/94 to get home. If you follow the entire route, we will return home from Prairie du Sac on Highway 12.
