Mad City MINI will be adding volunteer projects to the calendar of events to help out a few times a year in the community. The first projects will be environmental, and advance sign-up is required. If you can't make these, there will be more planned in the spring. **Seed Collection: Working with Madison City Parks to collect seeds for future prairie plantings *Saturday, October 11, 2008 *12pm-3pm *Owen Conservation Park, 6021 Old Sauk Rd., Madison **NOTE: Wear work gloves and old shoes, and avoid wearing softer materials (like sweat pants) which will pick up seeds, etc. much more than other fabrics like denim or nylon. **Community Workday: Collaboration with Holy Wisdom Monastery (formerly St. Benedict Center) where family-friendly activities include planting prairie seed, removing woody invasives, hauling and chipping brush, and splitting firewood *Saturday, October 18, 2008 *12pm-4pm *Holy Wisdom Monastery, 4200 Hwy M, Middleton (take the right hand drive to the top of the hill)
