The Great Chocolate & Wine Trail Drive
Sat, May 26, 9:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Travel to 5 of the 6 participating wineries in southwestern Wisconsin and sample wine and chocolate pairings.

Wineries on our drive will include: Sinnipee Valley Vineyard & Winery, Bauer-Kearns Winery, Whispering Winds Winery, Spurgeon Vineyard & Winery, and Weggy Winery.

Meet at MINI of Madison on Saturday at 9; Leave by 9:15; Returning to the Madison area after 6 p.m. The driving time alone for the whole event is over 5 hrs. We will stop for lunch in Platteville.

Note: There is a one-time charge of $10 by the wineries to participate in the tastings.

Recommended things to bring: A full tank of gas, cash, FRS radio(s).

Please join us Saturday, November 5 at 9:00 AM for a Fall Drive through Wildcat Mountain State Park and back.

 

Meet at 9:00. Leave for the drive at 9:15 from MINI of Madison to Ontario, WI passing through Wildcat Mountain State Park. The group will stop for a late lunch (~2:00) in Wisconsin Dells on the return leg and should be back in Madison by 5:00. The route will cover over 230 miles of exciting roads and will include 6 hours of driving adventure.

 

Friday, July 8 | “Drive-In Drive” to see “Cars 2“

Meet at MINI of Madison on Friday, July 8 at 6:45 PM.

Mark and Mary will lead the scenic drive to Highway 18 Outdoor Theatre near Jefferson which lasts about an hour. The movie begins about 20 minutes after dusk (different every night). Admission is $8 for adults, $6 for seniors, and $5 for children 11 and under. For the night owls, the second feature is “Fast Five“. Please bring chairs if you wish to sit outside your MINI with the group, and please understand that this theater will not allow the carry in of any outside food or beverage of any kind (see their policies for more information). Saturday, July 16 | Cruisin’ to Taliesin

Meet at MINI of Madison on Saturday, July 16 at 11:00 AM.

Mike will lead a fun drive out to Spring Green where we will enjoy lunch (or brunch if you prefer) at the Riverview Terrace Café in the Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor Center. Please send an email RSVP if you plan on attending this event.

We need to know…and thus this reprised EIM Cassville Ferry Drive.

• The Event Ticket Advance Deadline is June 15 for an approximate 40% savings. Tickets for a specific day or Thursday through Saturday are available at this link.
• The MINI car corral will be located with the BMW Car Corral outsideCorner 14.
• The Badger Bimmer Club’s grills will be out and may be available for our use, so if desired you could bring your own food to cook and picnic at the races!
• Dress for the weather-Road America races are run rain or shine.
• Beer, wine and food are available from 13 concession locations. Glass is NOT allowed.
• Bring an FM Radio (88.3) for lap-by-lap coverage from the RA track announcers.

Meet at MINI of Madison on Saturday at 8:30 AM.  Leave by 8:40 AM for a back roads drive to Rockton, IL to join up with the other groups at 10:00 AM. 

 

Spend the day driving and socializing with other MINI owners and enthusiasts.  Participate for as short or as long as you wish; there will be driving, a visit to the New Glarus Brewery, and a dinner.  Sunday events, TBA, may include breakfast and a driving route back to the Chicago area or Milwaukee area. Autoblog has chosen to do a long-term evaluation on the 2011 Mini Countryman. The chosen 2011 Countryman in True Blue has the following specifications: 181-horsepower turbocharged inline-four, a six-speed manual transmission and All4 all-wheel drive. They have also outfitted it with the premium package, sport package with additional sport suspension setup and cold weather package - an absolute must for those of us who live in frigid climates.
They will be sure to post a formal introduction as soon as the vehicle arrives.

Please join us for a holiday celebration with a holiday lights drive and dinner. Because we have had so much interest on different nights, we are offering two options this time to include as many of you as possible.

 

We’ll meet at MINI of Madison to begin a 40-minute city drive featuring some nice lights displays on the south/west side of Madison, ending with dinner at Uno Chicago Grill west.
